AIVA for All In Place at Accountex
An AI accountant who rewards human-first advice with a free drink — and helped All In Place quadruple their Accountex leads.

All In Place came to Accountex with a clear brief: build a robot that is genuinely fun, and that reinforces the kind of thinking their advisors should lead with. We created AiVA, an AI accountant who is sharp enough to be believable, human enough to be likeable, and self-aware enough to admit that accountancy conferences can be dull. AiVA presented visitors with a fictional client — a burnt-out business owner thinking about selling up, who also wants to pay less tax — and asked one question: "What would you ask them next?" Visitors who went for the human problem instead of the tax bait passed the All In Place Human Test and won a beer or soft drink. The activation turned a dry advisory principle into a memorable, shareable game — and All In Place saw 4x the leads they had generated at Accountex the previous year.
The challenge
All In Place wanted a genuinely fun robot for Accountex. The goal was to reinforce the kind of thinking their own advisors should lead with: start with the human problem, not the product pitch.
What we built
AiVA: an AI accountant character built into a gamified vending activation that tests and rewards human-first advisory thinking.
The experience
Enter AiVA, an AI accountant. Sharp enough to be believable, human enough to be likeable, and self-aware enough to know accountancy conferences have a reputation for being dull. AiVA gave visitors a fictional client scenario: a business owner who wanted to pay less tax, but was also burnt out and thinking about selling up. Then she asked: "What would you ask them next?" Go straight for the human problem instead of the tax bait, and you passed the All In Place Human Test. The reward was a beer or soft drink.
The result
All In Place saw 4x the leads they had generated at Accountex the previous year.
What it delivered
All In Place generated 4x the leads at Accountex compared to the previous year.
“We wanted our stand at Accountex to really stand out, and Arcade Strange delivered exactly what we were after. AiVA gave visitors something genuinely unique and fun to do, and something that actually said what we do as a business, not just a gimmick bolted onto a stand. We 4x'd our lead generation at Accountex compared to the year before, and the quality of conversations it started was even better than the numbers suggest. What impressed me just as much was the team behind it. They were fantastic to work with from the first brief through to the show floor, put in a serious shift over the two days, delivered everything on time, and went the extra mile whenever we needed them to. We'd work with Arcade Strange again in a heartbeat.”
