How Storyblok turned content debt into a test of focus at OMR Festival
Storyblok paired a serious global research report on "Content Debt" with a mind-controlled robotic activation to create an unforgettable brand experience at a major digital festival.

Storyblok wanted to break through the noise of traditional B2B marketing at a major digital festival. They paired a serious global research report on "Content Debt" with a highly engaging, mind-controlled robotic activation to create an unforgettable brand experience.
The challenge
The Problem: Bad data structure creates "Content Debt" — costing businesses billions, slowing down digital growth, and confusing AI search engines. The Solution: Brands must maintain absolute focus on their content infrastructure. The Tagline: "Stay thirsty for content confidence, my friends!"
What we built
Storyblok partnered with tech agency Arcade Strange to bring "Homer V" — a mind-controlled, drinks-pouring robot — to their stand. The activation served as a direct physical metaphor for their software value proposition. The Setup: Attendees wore an EEG headset that measured their mental concentration. The Test of Focus: If the attendee maintained total, uncompromised focus, the robot poured a perfect drink. The "Content Debt" Consequence: If the attendee lost focus or got distracted, the robot misaligned the glass, creating a messy, frothy spill. The Message Delivered: Just like the robot, if a marketing team loses focus on its data infrastructure, their digital strategy turns into a chaotic, unmanageable mess.
The experience
Attendees stepped up to Homer V wearing an EEG headset. Their mental focus controlled the pour in real time: stay locked in and the glass filled perfectly; let attention drift and the robot spilled the drink — a live, physical demonstration of what happens when content infrastructure loses focus.
The result
By turning a complex software concept into a fun, gamified trial of mental focus, Storyblok successfully converted abstract data infrastructure into a highly shareable, crowd-pleasing event activation.
What it delivered
Converted a complex software concept into a fun, gamified trial of mental focus that made content infrastructure tangible and memorable for festival attendees.
